| I started making films in
fifth grade when my family and I would go on vacations and my mom decided
to let me be in charge of the camera. Boy, was that a mistake.
Rather than shooting our family in front of the London Bridge or the Eiffel
Tower, I was making sci-fi thrillers and murder mysteries. In high
school, I got into digital editing and even started my own production company.
Eventually I ended up here at USC and have been telling stories ever since.
This past year, I won the Virgin Records music video contest (I get to
direct the next music video for their group GEGGY TAH) the Jack Nicholson
Directing award and the National Princess Grace Award. Currently,
I am in production of my next film, a musical called XIAO GWAI LO about
an Asian-American teenager coming to grips with his cultural heritage.*
